FUB assist players to return home
Footballers Union of Botswana (FUB) and Township Rollers FC this week started a process to facilitate a repatriation of some of the foreign players to their home countries. FUB head of medical committee, Patrick Zibochwa conducted some COVID-19 tests on the Rollers players who are scheduled to return home this week. The two players assisted are Mongba Assagou Guy Fabien from Ivory Coast and Ghanaian Francis Afriyie.
Zibochwa said, “we are doing all we can to ensure that our members are safely repatriated. We are also happy that Rollers FC made it easy for the players to get assistance from the relevant stakeholders.”
Earlier in the week, another Rollers player, Kamogelo Matsabu managed to temporarily return to South Africa whilst awaiting the return to play confirmations.
